Construction works for Castle Quay Waterfront

By | CQ Development

As part of the construction works for Castle Quay Waterfront, it is necessary for us to take six parking spaces out of use from The Mill carpark from Tuesday 4 February, until Tuesday 11 February. We have been speaking to The Mill about this closure and can confirm that they fully understand the reasons behind this. We hope to reopen these spaces earlier if possible.

The purpose of the closure is to install some pipework for the new site.

In the meantime we have ensured that extensive alternative parking is available with more than 1,500 spaces available within 5 minutes’ walk of Castle Quay Shopping Centre. Long stay parking can be found in Compton Road, Bolton Road and Riverside car parks. Alternative blue badge bays are available in Bolton Road and Riverside car parks.

We would like to thank you for your patience as works continue on this new development for Banbury.

Access routes to the Spiceball Leisure Centre

By | CQ Development

Following recent feedback, we’d be grateful if all visitors could use the designated pathways via the zig zag path and along Spiceball Park Road North when accessing the Spiceball Leisure Centre from the south east and via the new scaffold stairs from Riverside Car Park North west.

These routes are signposted and exist for safe access of members of the public, as work continues on the construction of Castle Quay Waterfront.

Please follow these routes at all times as any alternative routes or short cuts may not be suitable underfoot during poor weather conditions, with heightened risk of slippage.

A new permanent alternative path to the centre will be available from late spring.

Thanks for your continued patience and please message for any further questions.
