Christmas creeps up faster and faster each year, with little time to get in the mood. So this year we’re helping you get in the festive spirit with a variety of free festive craft activities in the run up to Christmas.

Join us at The Imagination Station to turn your hands to some Christmassy creations of your very own.

Here’s what we have lined up for you to enjoy…

10am – 3pm, Saturday 16th November

Create an orange and clove pomander.
Make your house smell fabulous this winter with a handmade orange and clove pomander. Drop in and join Naomi from Wilderness Wildflowers as she guides you through making this traditional decoration.

10am – 3pm, Saturday 23rd November

Make a welcome basket for Santa and his reindeer.
To all little boys & girls (aimed at 4-8 years old) who can’t wait for a magical Christmas to arrive! Come and make a special basket to hold a treat for Father Christmas & his reindeer. Florist, Lisa will provide you with spruce, cones, golden twigs and other goodies and show you how to make a wonderful welcome basket. Allow 30 minutes.

10am – 3pm, Sunday 24th November

Create beautiful Christmas decorations.
Starting on the hour at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm, join JD Cruz to make and decorate your own Christmas decoration! Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting mucky as we get stuck into Christmas crafting!

10am – 3pm, Friday 29th November

Produce paper bead jewellery or decorations.
Come and make the perfect paper bead jewellery or decorations with Anne Griffiths in this unique craft workshop.

10am – 3pm, Sunday 1st December

Create beautiful Christmas decorations.
Starting on the hour at 10am, 11am, 1pm and 2pm, join JD Cruz to make and decorate your own Christmas decoration! Be sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting mucky as we get stuck into Christmas crafting!

10am – 4pm, Thursday 5th December

Make handmade notebooks as gifts.
Create a gift that truly notes your affections for the recipient at our notebook making workshops with Anne Griffiths.

10am – 3pm, Saturday 7th December

Produce beautiful bookmarks and greetings cards.
Join Jenny McCormac – an experienced, local paper crafter, to make some personalised bookmarks between 10am-1pm and handmade greetings cards between 1-3pm. Suitable for all ages, we will be using rubber stamps and washable inks for your creations.

10am – 3pm, Sunday 8th December

Craft a Christmas table arrangement.
Come and create your own, hand-made centre piece to place proudly on your Christmas dining table this year. Florist Lisa will provide you with spruce, eucalyptus, baubles, cones and a touch of sparkle. She will demonstrate and guide you through the process but give you the freedom to add your own personal touch. Allow 1 hour.

10am – 3pm, Tuesday 10th & Wednesday 11th December

Craft a wonderful Christmas wreath.
Everyone loves a Christmas wreath hanging on the door. Join Naomi of Wilderness Wildflowers as she guides you through handmaking your very own personal, festive wreath this year!

10am – 3pm, Thursday 12th December

Create beautiful Christmas decorations.

Fashion a festive flower arrangement.
Florist, Lisa will show you how to make a small arrangement that can be used for a variety of purposes. You will use spruce, cones, dry lavender, orange slices and a little bit of sparkle.  Allow 30-40 minutes.

10am – 3pm, Wednesday 18th December

Create a Christmas bauble.
Jane and Lynn welcome you to their paper bauble making workshop. The baubles are easy to make and light enough to hang on your Christmas tree.
