Digital Marketing Assistant

This is an exciting new opportunity for a creative marketing professional to play a key role in implementing the digital elements of Banbury Museum’s audience development and marketing strategies.

You will be an integral member of a fun and dynamic marketing team, joining us at a time when we are looking to position ourselves in a lead cultural role locally and regionally.
As our Digital Marketing Assistant, you will use your social media experience to devise and deliver innovative digital marketing campaigns on social media and web-based platforms. You will use your creative flair and passion for the cultural sector to support the delivery of targeted marketing and communications campaigns.
Banbury Museum has recently undergone a £300,000 redevelopment, creating the stunning new PYE Gallery which displays national touring exhibitions. A permanent gallery showcases 1000 years of Banbury’s history and The Waterways Gallery explores the history of the canals. Banbury is just an hour by train from London, and 15 minutes from Leamington Spa, and is fast becoming a commuter hotspot. The museum is located on the canal side, in the centre of the new cultural hub of the town.

We are looking for candidates who have:
 Creative and innovative skills with experience of planning and delivering digital and social media campaigns and producing publicity materials
 Experience of working within/or a keen interest in the cultural sector
 Experience of delivering marketing and/or communications campaigns
 Experience of editing or developing a website
 Excellent standard of English and written communication skills
 A positive and flexible ‘can do’ attitude
 The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

Key responsibilities will include:
 Co-ordinate the production and distribution of all online promotional materials, e-newsletters and our web content
 Create and deliver digital marketing campaigns
 Write and edit online promotional materials
 Maintain our websites and social media platforms

10 hours per week
£9.10 per hour

Front of House – Weekend Staff

Banbury Museum is looking for weekend staff to join its busy Front of House team, this is an exciting opportunity for somebody to join a dynamic team.

We are looking for candidates who have:
 Excellent Customer Service skills
 Experience of working within/or a keen interest in the cultural sector
 Experience of working in a retail of customer facing post
 An understanding of audiences and the ability to capture data
 English and Maths – Grade C or above (or equivalent)
 A positive and flexible ‘can do’ attitude
 The ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure

Key responsibilities will include:
 To run either the Museum welcome desk or the Museum Shop desk
 Unlock the Museum and manage the Visitor signing in book
 Actively promote exhibitions and events to all visitors
 Capture data from visitors
 Promote a safe working environment

Candidates need to be over 18 years of age.
