Coming up this autumn…

‘Come to my Party’ toddler party with Kerry

10am – 1pm, Tuesday 17th September 

Bring the little ones, from new-born upwards for party fun including singing, movement and play with Kerry. Parties start at 10am, 11am and 12noon but you’re welcome to join in at any time.

T-shirt dye-sub printing workshop

10am – 3pm, Saturday 21st September

Bring your own polyester t-shirt* and join Jasmine of JD Cruz to create colourful designs and try your hand at t-shirt dye-sub printing. Workshops start at 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and are open to all ages. For anyone wanting to pop in and have a go, there will also be a limited number of small bags available to print. 

*T-shirts MUST be polyester.

Halloween dye-sub printing workshop

10am – 3pm, Monday 28th October

Join Jasmine of JD Cruz to create a spooky dye-sub print design to celebrate Halloween.  Bring your own polyester t-shirt or use one of our bags to design your own trick or treat bag and join us on the hour at 10am, 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm.

Free Dance Workshops at Castle Quay

On Saturday 31st August a local dance teacher from The Mill will be holding free dance workshops in unit 61 at Castle Quay.

The classes are free to children aged between 6 and 15 years old and will run on a first come first served basis, so make sure you don’t leave things too late!

Eloquent Youth – Wednesday 31st August 3pm

Harmony-led pop/folk duo Eloquent Youth will be the latest talent to hit the ‘Live & Local’ stage at our HMV store this August! Join brothers Tom & Joel on Wednesday 31st August at 3pm for the latest of their many live performances this summer, including sessions with BBC Countryfile Live and BBC Music Introducing!

Crystallite – Sunday 8th September 3pm

Who’s excited to see a genre-defying performance from Crystallite? The Oxfordshire-local band will be performing live at our HMV store’s latest ‘Live & Local’ session at 3pm on Sunday 8th September.

The Pete Watkins Originals – Saturday 21st September 3pm

Join us for an afternoon filled with acoustic roots style hits from The Pete Watkins Originals band. 

The local musicians will be bringing their mix of beautiful melodies and thought-provoking lyrics to our HMV store’s ‘Live & Local’ session at 3pm.

Get Creative With Our Brand New Imagination Station

We’re pleased to announce the launch of our new Imagination Station – a workshop space within the centre that will be a free local resource to the people of Banbury. You’ll find the Imagination Station located opposite Muffin Break at Castle Quay where we will host a vast array of free workshops throughout the year.

On the 8th, 9th, 14th and 15th August children can enjoy dye-sub printing classes. Between 10am – 12pm children will be able to create their very own unique cushion and between 1pm and 3pm they will be able to make their own designed bags. These sessions will be available to 5 and 12 year olds and will run on a first come first served basis.

Toy Rehoming at The Entertainer

This Wednesday is World Environment day!

The Entertainer have partnered with The Salvation Army to launch the Big Toy Rehoming which aims to reduce plastic waste by prolonging the life of toys, while helping to ensure every child has the opportunity to play.

You can bring  your unwanted toys in to store between 5th – 8th June and they will rehome them via The Salvation Army.

Terms & Conditions

  • Toys with a valid CE mark on the toy or packaging will be passed to The Salvation Army for rehoming.
  • Toys without a valid CE mark on the toy or packaging will be safely recycled.
  • No soft toys or plush will be accepted.

Banbury Museum hosts Circus of Mechanical Marvels

Roll up, Roll up! Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, it’s time to take your seats, as the fabulous, the mesmerising, Mechanical Circus is coming to town on Saturday 25th May.

Kicking off the summer season at Banbury Museum, The Mechanical Circus is the latest exhibition to open in the beautiful new PYE Gallery, and offers a host of hilarious interactives guaranteed to get the whole family laughing.

Join the team at the museum and go back in time to revisit those idyllic childhood days of magic and curiosity, where the marvels of the fairground and circus brought imaginations to life. Visitors can put their head in a lion’s mouth, lift the strongman weights or pose at the ‘beach’ – ideal for those family photo memories! With lots of magical buttons to press and optical illusions to explore, the exhibition is truly interactive and is perfect for kids aged 1-100!

Tickets cost £5 for adults, £4 concessions, £3 for children and family tickets are £15.
