Dance School Opens at Castle Quay

We are pleased to announce that for the first time a dance school has opened at the centre, diversifying our offer even further. Local award-winning dance company ‘The School for Stars’ just opened two new studios in the centre, located next to Cards Direct and Bodycare, with ambitions to expand even further over the coming months.

The school caters for all ages and backgrounds, with fully qualified instructors teaching ballet, tap, cheerleading, musical theatre, street dance, adult fitness and more. Several students from the school are Dance World Cup finalists and have also competed in regional and national dance partnerships. The school also has an IDTA examinations 100% pass rate, which is a very impressive achievement.

The school is run by Banbury residents Julie Bruce and Tee Lily. Julie and Tee have a great reputation in Banbury and as well as training award winners, also do a huge amount to support dancers and have personally sponsored students with promise, that were unable to fund the classes themselves.

The School for Stars decided to open at Castle Quay following the transformation the centre has undergone in the last few years, including the opening of Waterfront and Lock29. They also felt their studios would be more conveniently located for families and offer more parking facilities.

The dance school is open Monday to Friday between 4pm – 9.30pm and Saturday between 9am – 4pm. If you are interested in learning more visit @theschoolforstars on Facebook and Instagram.
