Dance School Relocates to Expansive and Impressive New Studio

Castle Quay in Banbury is pleased to announce that award winning dance school ‘The School for Stars’ is relocating to a much larger location in the centre following an incredible first year at the centre. The dance company will have two studios in their new location next to Clarks, which will include professional dance flooring, full length mirrors, LED lighting, six ballet bars, changing rooms, reception area, and a professional photo area.

The new studios will officially open on 30th September. There will be a ribbon cutting at 11am, and then some of the students will be performing at Canal Day at 12.40pm. The school is run by Banbury residents Julie Bruce and Tee Lily. Julie and Tee have a great reputation in Banbury and as well as training award winners, also do a huge amount to support dancers and have personally sponsored students with promise, that were unable to fund the classes themselves.

The school caters for all ages and backgrounds, with fully qualified instructors teaching ballet, tap, cheerleading, musical theatre, street dance, adult fitness and more. This new location allows the school to cater for more students and employ more teachers. They currently teach 330 students, with the goal to reach 400 in the future.

Several students from the school are Dance World Cup winners and have also competed in regional and national dance partnerships. The school also has an IDTA examinations 100% pass rate, which is a very impressive achievement.

The dance school is open Monday to Friday between 4pm – 9.30pm and Saturday between 9am – 4pm. If you are interested in learning more visit @theschoolforstars on Facebook and Instagram.
