Festive Fun at Castle Quay!
This festive season, we have pulled out all the stops to make Christmas at Castle Quay bigger and better than ever before!
Saturday 2nd December
On the 2nd December, Santa is coming to town! Come along to meet him and his elves for FREE between 11am and 4pm. No booking is required and visits will be on a first come first serve basis. This will be located in the Winter Wish Land opposite Halifax and next to Vision Express.
Plus! There will be children’s tombola for little ones to get involved in, and a Christmas jumper pop-up shop that will sure to have you sleighing this season! This will be located in front of the customer service desk.
To top the day off, get creative with the Banbury BID Lantern Making workshop. Join in with crafting your very own unique festive masterpiece, that is sure to be a dazzling decoration to help make your home that little bit more Christmassy! This will be held next to Costa coffee, the session costs £2 and booking is advised online via the BID’s website.
Saturday/Sunday 9th/10th December
On the 9th and 10th December, between 11am and 4pm its time get snapping some festive selfies. Our giant snow globe will be located near JD Sports and is the perfect backdrop for capturing magical memories. Make sure to bring family and friends along to get that perfect yule-tide pic!
From 4:30pm on the 9th December, don’t miss the Banbury BID Lantern Parade that will be making a start at Castle Quay.
Join us with your lanterns from 4:30pm by the information point in Castle Quay and take part in our ‘Light-up Banbury’ Lantern Parade. Drummers will lead the parade through Castle Quay and around the town, finishing in the Market Place. Christmas carols, Hot chocolate, Mulled Wine and Mince Pies will all be available to enjoy on the evening!

From 2nd ‘til 24th December
From the 2nd December until Christmas, step into our enchanting Winter Wish Land to write and send your letters to Santa! Plus, make sure to get a festive selfie in Santa’s thrown. Visitors will also be able to explore Santa’s new, accessible-friendly sleigh that will be located near JD Sports.
Throughout December, make sure to enter our festive photo competition to be in with the chance of winning a gift card to spend in the centre! Simply tag us in your favourite Christmassy photos.
