The Castle Quay Shopping Centre is set in the market town of Banbury, with a rich cultural heritage and thriving economy. In 2021 Castle Quay Waterfront, a 506,000 sq. ft. leisure and restaurant development, is anticipated to open.
Banbury is surrounded by the Oxfordshire countryside, and its scenic network of canals. Home to the Castle Quay Shopping Centre, the town centre is set to undergo a transformation with work starting on Castle Quay Waterfront, a new leisure and restaurant offering for the town to complement the existing retail. Confirmed occupiers include The Light Cinema, Premier Inn and Lidl.
The Castle Quay Shopping Centre is already home to over 80 national and regional retailers, including Debenhams, H&M, Boots, GAP and Marks & Spencer. The shopping centre offers 444,000 sq ft of retail space with parking, with improved parking facilities to be reinstated when Castle Quay Waterfront has been completed, including spaces with electric charging points.
Castle Quay Shopping Centre and Castle Quay Waterfront are both owned by Cherwell District Council. The council has invested heavily in the town centre, catering for a catchment area of nearly 390,000 residents.
