The big screen is coming to life at Castle Quay this August!
We are bringing your favourite characters, currently hitting the screen at The Light Cinema, straight into the centre for a month of blockbuster family fun. Break up the summer holiday routine with four weeks of themed interactive adventures, character meet-and-greets, and free activities designed to keep the little ones thoroughly entertained.
All events are completely free* to attend and run at intervals between 11:00 am and 3:00 pm. Mark your calendars for an unforgettable August line-up!

The Great Toy Box Adventure
Date: Monday 3rd August
Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Kick off the summer holidays by diving into a day of epic, oversized fun for the whole family! Whether your little ones love space exploration or wild west adventures, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
- Bring your cameras to catch everyone’s favourite Space Ranger and Cowboy Sheriff making appearances throughout the day.
- Take part in our interactive treasure box toy dive. Head into our giant ball pit to find hidden items to win fantastic instant prizes!
Banana Bonanza
Date: Wednesday, 12th August
Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
The holiday fun is in full swing, and things are about to get seriously silly. Bring the kids down for a day dedicated entirely to yellow, mischievous mayhem!
- Everyone’s favourite mischievous henchmen will be dropping by the centre to cause some chaos and pose for photos at scheduled intervals.
- We will be handing out free banana treats to keep your little minions fueled for the fun (available while stocks last).
Superhero Academy Day
Date: Monday 17th August
Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Calling all caped crusaders! Dust off your favourite costumes and get ready to help save the day in an action-packed afternoon of heroic fun.
- Come face-to-face with an incredible trio of web-slinging heroes at scheduled intervals throughout the afternoon.
- Think your little recruits have what it takes? Let them test their agility, speed, and heroic skills in our interactive training camp to unlock their inner powers.
Rubble is coming to Castle Quay

At intervals from 11am he will be at Castle Quay for Meet & Greets and Storytelling sessions.

This is a ticketed event to monitor capacity. We are asking for a £2 donation per ticket to the Sunshine Centre to secure your place.
